Police Advisory Committee seeks public dialogue

The Greenwich Citizen’s Police Advisory Committee will hold a roundtable discussion on Tuesday, October 24 at 7 p.m. at the Public Safety Complex. People in Town are invited to come and participate. They will hear from members of the Greenwich Police Department’s command staff about current statistics and ongoing initiatives and people will have the chance to ask questions and make comments.

This is a chance to engage in a respectful, productive dialogue with the Greenwich Police Department and the command staff is eager to hear views from all. This is a critical part of the outreach the Committee is doing to make sure there is a way for members of the public to connect with their police department and build lasting partnerships within the community.

The intention is to do these kinds of roundtables on a quarterly basis going forward and insure there is a strong dialogue going back and forth with the community. The Greenwich Police Department takes the motto of to protect and serve very seriously and this is a chance for all sides to talk and listen.

The Committee encourages residents to attend and engage in a dialogue. The Committee’s goal, since its founding in 2021, has been to increase both accountability and transparency and this roundtable is an important first step.
