Greenwich High School Senior Grejs (Grace) and her fellow classmate, India, are set to host Greenwich’s first-ever ‘Undies for Everyone’ fundraiser this Saturday, October 21 in support of the local non-profit, “The Undies Project.”
The Undies Project is a Greenwich-based non-profit organization dedicated to supplying underwear to men, women, and children in need. Despite being a crucial necessity, underwear remains one of the least donated items, making the mission of this non-profit all the more vital.
The event, masterminded and led by the two high school students, will be held in front of the Board of Education building on Greenwich Avenue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will find a stand filled with baked goods for purchase, with all proceeds going to the cause. Additionally, a donation bin will be available for patrons to drop off new packs of underwear.
This Saturday’s event holds the distinction of being the first town-wide Undies for Everyone fundraiser headed by high schoolers. Grace and India hope that by spotlighting their initiative in the Greenwich Sentinel, they will not only attract more participants and donors to this weekend’s event but also raise awareness of The Undies Project’s commendable mission. Greater visibility and support could amplify the positive impact on local families requiring these essential items.
The duo encourages the community to come out, support the cause, and help make a difference for those in need.
