On June 3rd, the Rumsey Hall School Class of 2023 came together for its 123rd annual Commencement Exercises, held on the school’s picturesque campus. A total of 72 graduates celebrated the culmination of their hard work and dedication. Speakers included Head of the School, Ian Craig, and Class President, Carter Giese.
In his address, Giese expressed heartfelt gratitude to the parents for providing their children with such a transformative experience at Rumsey Hall School. He also acknowledged the wisdom imparted by the teachers and the invaluable friendships forged among the students throughout their educational journey.
The graduating class of 2023 represented a diverse group, hailing from twenty-one different towns in Connecticut, six states across the United States, and even four countries worldwide.
Among the distinguished graduates were Ludmila “Mila” Chigirinskaya, daughter of Shalva Chigirinskiy from Riverside and Tatiana Panchenkova from Greenwich; Alexander Gersten, son of James and Jessica Gersten from Greenwich; and Erin Kim, daughter of Jason Kim and Yoohee Han from Stamford. Erin Kim was honored with the prestigious President’s Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence, as well as the esteemed John E. Calhoun Honor Cup Prize for Scholar-Athlete.
