Ambika Grover, a recent graduate of Greenwich High School, has been announced as a 2023 U.S. Presidential Scholar, one of the nation’s most prestigious honors bestowed upon high school seniors. Ambika’s name was proudly introduced by none other than Senator Fazio in a recent session of the State Senate, who took personal privilege in heralding her achievements.
“Thank you Madam President. Thank you, Senator. I’m very proud, in a point of personal privilege, to introduce one of our district’s nest,” began Fazio. “Ambika Grover has been announced as one of the U.S Presidential Scholars for 2023. She is a fresh graduate of Greenwich High School.”
Grover is distinguished not only for her scholastic prowess but also for her significant contributions to both the fields of debate and scientific research. Fazio highlighted, “She is perhaps best known for being one of the top five debaters in the United States. So as senators, we should be very concerned about her taking one of our spots and holding us all to task. She is also one of the great young scientists in the country, finishing in the top six of one of the most important nationwide scientific research competitions, specifically for her research on treating strokes.”
Senator Fazio personally attended one of her presentations at Greenwich High School.
