Invivo X, the acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc crafted by actress Sarah Jessica Parker in collaboration with New Zealand’s Invivo Wines, will be hosted by Val’s at 125 West Putnam Avenue for a wine tasting event today, March 30, from 3 to 6 pm. The event will showcase the multiple award-winning wine and allow guests to savor its exquisite flavors and aromas.
The Invivo X, SJP Sauvignon Blanc, has garnered impressive awards and recognition from prestigious organizations and critics worldwide. Among the accolades are a Gold award at the New Zealand International Wine Show, 92 points from Wine Spectator, 95 points from Sam Kim’s Wine Orbit, 90 points from James Suckling, and numerous silver medals from esteemed competitions such as the Sauvignon Blanc Masters 2022 and Decanter World Wine Awards 2022.
Tasting notes for the wine describe it as a delightful blend of tropical fruit, citrus peel, and exotic guava, with delicate oak influence adding softness and accessibility. The balanced acid structure complements the sweet and savory fruit characters, culminating in a long and delicious finish.
The creation of the wine’s third release was a collaborative effort between Sarah Jessica Parker, Invivo co-founders Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron, and winemaker Rob Cameron. The trio crafted the blend during a two-hour Zoom chat, bridging the distance between New York and Te Kauwhata, New Zealand.
The label’s design reflects Sarah Jessica’s creative input, featuring her signature “X, SJ” signoff and a hand-painted teal “X” inspired by one of her favorite satin shoe colors from her SJP Collection.
Invivo X, SJP Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with a range of dishes, including oysters, baked or smoked salmon, grilled sambal prawns, Korean spicy beef, classic kedgeree, salmon poke bowls, and blue cheese and caramelized onion tarts.
