Obituary: Marion Eustis

Marion Eustis

Marion Kelley Eustis (Kelley), of Greenwich, passed away on November 25, 2022, at her wonderful group home run by Abilis. She was born February 15, 1966, in New York City to parents, Martha & Bill Eustis, joining her brother Tim.

Kelley spent most of her life in Greenwich where she participated in and benefitted from an array of services provided by Abilis (formerly GARC) and Barbara’s House (formerly Community Centers). Throughout her life she had many friends who enjoyed her smile, enthusiasm, and repartee.

She was a strong-willed person; one who stood up for herself, but who cared deeply about her friends, her family, and especially her father and mother.

Kelley benefited from access to the Special Olympics and was chosen to compete in swimming at the International Special Olympics held at Louisiana State University in 1983. She was rightfully proud of this achievement.

The family celebrates the attentiveness, kindness, care and respect given to Kelley by the staff at her group home during her final illness. They also thank Caring Hospice Services of Connecticut.

Kelley is survived by her mother, Martha Eustis, her brother Tim and his family, Sarah, Henry and Fred Eustis as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all of whom love her.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 4, 11 am, at Christ Church, Greenwich. It will also be available via Live Stream.

Kelley’s life can be honored with a gift to either Abilis, Inc. at 50 Glenville Street, Greenwich, CT 06830 or to Barbara’s House, Inc. (formerly Community Centers, Inc.), 2 St. Roch’s Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830.
