The Greenwich Art Society is offering Traditional Oil Painting Classes with Andrew Lattimore beginning January 9 through March 20 (except Jan. 16 and Feb. 20) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
This class will focus on developing your painting skills through painting the still life. Each week you will construct a simple still life composed with items around your house, for example: coffee cup with a muffin, bowl with fruits or vegetables, small vase with flowers from your garden, glass of wine with cheese and crackers. During the class, students will share their painting with the group, and constructive feedback will be provided as well as questions answered. We will discuss many elements of painting such as value, design, composition, and color. The first day he’ll review the objectives of this class, including materials and assignment for the week. He will also do a demonstration of a still life.
Class will be held in G.A.S. Studio with physical distance zones and other precautions.
