Henry Hoffman Hansen, Jr. of Greenwich passed away peacefully on December 23, 2022, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness. He was born on January 12, 1934, to Henry and Katherine Hansen.
Known to his friends as Salty, Henry was a master wood craftsman and an expert fisherman, fishing mostly with his homemade lures.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Frances; his children, Hank Hansen (Rochelle), Leslie Lombardi (Nicky), Christine Hardy (Sean), Teresa Pucci (Craig) and Maria Morrell (Kurt), 14 grandchildren and three great-grandsons. He leaves behind his brother, Hans Peter Hansen (Peggy) and sister Kathryn Enright, as well as several nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Marie Grabell and Yvonne Birney.
The family of Henry would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the staff of Fairfield County House and to Constellation Hospice Services of Norwalk for the kindness and care he received, and for the support they gave to his family.
