Greenwich Police Department hires two new officers

First Selectman Fred Camillo swore in Officers Albert Miano and James Luciano on December 20, at the Town of Greenwich Public Safety Complex.

Officer Albert Miano graduated from Western Connecticut State University and Naugatuck Valley Community College. He served in the US Navy from July 1997 to May 1999 and was in the Army National Guard from December 1999 to December 2002. Officer Miano was previously an Officer with the NYPD, New York State Police, and the Pound Ridge Police Department.

Officer James Luciano is a New York native and graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2022. Officer Luciano was a seasonal Park Ranger with the Westchester County Police and worked within the parks, environmental, and marine units. Officer Luciano is pictured with his father, Chief James Luciano of the Westchester County Police Department (NY).

“The Greenwich Police Department is thankful Officer Miano selected GPD to continue his service and that Office Luciano selected GPD to begin his career in law enforcement. After attending the police training, they will provide Service, Respect, Courage, Fairness, and Diligence to the residents and visitors of the Town of Greenwich.”
