Ronald J Marchetti Sr. passed away December 15, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anita, four children and ten grandchildren, two sisters, an uncle, and several cousins. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with an MBA. He worked as a branch manager for Bank of America in Cos Cob.
Big Ron, as he was affectionately known by his children and their friends, loved being around family. He passed on his love for music to his children, and coached them in sports from swimming to basketball. Golf, however, was his passion. He loved being out on the course, and loved playing with friends and family even more. He would always attend all of his grandkids’ games and performances. If he wasn’t watching his grandkids play, he could be seen around town in Greenwich umpiring softball, or refereeing basketball games.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 21 from 4 to 7 at the Lacerenza funeral home in Stamford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday December 23, at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
