Frances Kirschner Reguero, age 81 of Bridgeport, CT, passed away on Friday, December 9 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport.
Frances was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Irving and Jennie Kirschner. She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1958 and went on to earn a nursing degree from Long Island College Hospital in 1962 and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brooklyn College in 1977. Following school, Frances became a dedicated registered nurse, working at Brookdale Hospital Center in Brooklyn, Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, and then at Greenwich Hospital from 1989 until she retired in 2011. She loved her profession, was a seasoned traveler, enjoyed playing piano, and was an avid reader.
Frances is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law Anna and James DeFelice and granddaughter Sabine DeFelice of Rochester, NY, her dear sister Marlene Adelberg and husband Paul of Stamford, CT. She was predeceased by her brother, Seymour Kirschner. She leaves behind generations of nieces and nephews who she loved deeply.
