Norma Englert

Norma Englert, of Greenwich, passed away November 5, at the age of 71. She was born August 29, 1951 in Pana, IL to Ira & Eleanor Young.

Norma attended Southern Illinois University (Carbondale) then later studied at F.I.T., where she earned a degree in Interior Design. For years she worked alongside her husband, Peter Englert, in his design studio in Mamaroneck. Norma loved to travel and had an incredible appreciation of art, culture, and fashion. She is fondly described by her husband as the kindest person he had ever known.

Norma is survived by her devoted husband, Peter Englert, and step-children, Vicki Giuffre (Frank), Lori Pankewicz, Julika Reggiano (Aldo), Dimitri Englert, Nina Harris (Alan) and Yuri Englert (Eva). She is the loving grandmother of, Amanda (Niko), Nicole (Alex), Jeffrey, Evan, Vladimir & Philomena, sister of Roger Young, and aunt of Tim Young and Melanie Morefield (Joel) and their children Evan and Oscar. Norma is predeceased by her first husband, Hans Hansberg, as well as her parents and sister-in-law Jan Young.
