On Sunday, November 13 at 4:30 PM at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, Greenwich will hold its first annual town vigil to increase awareness around mental health issues and addiction. This event is an opportunity to bring the entire community together to provide information, resources, connection and support.
“Better Tomorrow” will include stories of hope, a candlelight vigil, music and moments of reflection. In attendance will be members of the clergy of all faiths as well representatives from numerous Town of Greenwich Departments, healthcare providers and nonprofit organizations.
“Come to share encouragement or come to be encouraged. Mental health issues are more the norm than the exception and there is help available. We want the residents of our community to know that they are not alone.” said Icy Frantz, Co-founder of “Better Tomorrow.”
“One of our goals is to start the conversation about health and wellness and to break the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use disorders,” commented Tara Restieri, Co-founder of “Better Tomorrow.”
Everyone in the community is invited to join. The short program will be held outdoors in the park immediately followed by hot chocolate in Arch Street Teen Center. In case of rain or inclement weather, the event will be held inside at Arch Street Teen Center.
