Coffee for Good hosts independent art show

Coffee for Good, an independent nonprofit based in Greenwich, celebrates the work of local Westchester artist, Patrick Andre at a special opening on Saturday, October 22 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Coffee for Good. 48 Maple Avenue.

The show, titled ‘Still Life’ will feature a collection of framed acrylic illustrations on heavy paper stock, beautifully displayed throughout Coffee for Good’s historic Mead House location. Some of Patrick Andre’s works will be available for purchase.

Operating as a coffee shop and cafe open to the public, Coffee for Good offers job training and employment for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Patrick and his parents are regular Coffee for Good customers. It didn’t take long for Coffee for Good Executive Director, Deb Rogan, to recognize that art is Patrick’s passion.

“Patrick is a young man with autism who enjoys expressing himself through his artwork,” said Deb Rogan. “We are honored and truly excited to feature Patrick’s works at Coffee for Good.”

Patrick Andre has been an artist for many years. The art world considers Patrick an Outsider as he is self-taught. Patrick graduated from the BOCES-Irvington school and then attended St. Matthews in White Plains, NY.

This show reflects Patrick’s strong interest in nature, the environment and those who care about the environment. Patrick wants all of humanity to work towards finding peaceful resolutions to conflicts, saving the planet from climate change, and finding a cure for cancer. In 2015, Patrick authored a book about his friends and concerns.
