Obituary: Cynthia von Keyserling

We are saddened to announce the passing of Cynthia Deems von Keyserling on July 23. She was 79 years of age.

Cynthia was born on May 22, 1943 in Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY. She was raised in Greenwich, CT, attending Greenwich Country Day and Greenwich High School. She was a graduate of Endicott College.

Cynthia was a teacher at Whitby school for several years before starting her family.

She dedicated her life to service, including helping to save Cos Cob school, working for many republican political campaigns at the local and state level and working for Kids Voting, a non-profit organization that developed curriculums teaching children the importance of voting. In her later years she was employed by the accountancy firm of William Pate.

She is survived by her three children Elizabeth Lynch, Katherine Berliner and Richard von Keyserling. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren Olivia, Michael, Mary Grace, Avery and Zoe.

A memorial will be held on October 1 at 2pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich.
