Evelyn Levy Welt passed away at her home in Stamford on August 17. She was 101. She and her husband Maurice were married for 68 years until his death in 2008; together they traveled the world. They had two daughters, Corinne Garland and Rissa Grossman, seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Evelyn volunteered to translate books into braille, and loved reading, the theater, and playing piano, golf, bridge, canasta, and mahjong. She was born in Queens, NY, in 1921 and lived in Glen Cove and Sands Point, and later Greenwich, CT.
