Greenwich Audubon offers special birding tour for Pride Month

In honor of Pride Month, Greenwich Audubon will hold a special birding tour and celebration of diversity and inclusion of both birds and people, on Saturday, June 18, 8:00am – 10:00am. You will learn about the many colorful birds that call Audubon home and go for a leisurely walk through our fields, orchards and woods to see many of them up close.

Please bring binoculars, weather-appropriate clothes and hiking shoes or boots. Several pairs of binoculars will be available to lend for people who need them.

This year Audubon is partnering for this event with the Triangle Community Center, Fairfield County’s leading provider of programming and resources to nurture growth and connection within the LGBTQ community.

TCC is home to more than two dozen free groups that meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly at the center. Groups include peer support, recovery, older adult daytime programming, crafts, sober social events, and youth groups. Their team of highly trained client advocates assists community members with social service navigation, food, drop-in services, document updates, healthcare navigation, and housing navigation at its Drop-In Center in Norwalk and at its satellite office at the Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport. For more information visit their website here!

Program Fee: Admission is FREE but donations are encouraged. Your contributions help support conservation work, including advocating for the protection of birds and the habitats they depend on for survival.
