Registration Open for JLG’s Boys Achieving More Program

The Junior League of Greenwich announces that Boys Achieving More (BAM!) is back for the first time since 2019. This year’s session will take place on Sunday, June 5 from 12:30pm-5:00pm at the Boys & Girls Club Greenwich (field space), 4 Horseneck Lane, in Greenwich.

This is a FREE outdoor adventure program for 5th & 6th grade boys who are residents of, or attend school in, Greenwich. BAM! was created by the Junior League of Greenwich to facilitate a discussion amongst 5th & 6th grade boys in Greenwich on the over-arching concepts of respect, trust, communication and leadership.

During this year’s session, participants will rotate through a series of 3 activities. Each activity time should be ~45 min-1 hour where boys will rotate through in groups of 12. This year we’re focusing on activities with social-emotional learning. “BAM! provides a unique opportunity for boys to participate in activities that require teamwork, survival skills and stepping out of their comfort zone,” says Karen Richard, JLG President. We are fortunate to have wonderful community partners including Rocco Natale, Executive Director, Open Arts Alliance, Antonio “TJ” Ramirez, Director of Programs, ReachPrep in Stamford, and Arthur Smith, Director of Youth Programs at YWCA Greenwich. The success of this program is largely due to the collaboration among us all.”

Space is limited. To learn more and to register, visit https://www.jlgreenwich.org/bam-boys-achieving/.
