Greenwich Choral Society Receives Grant from CT Humanities

CT Humanities, the statewide nonprofit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), has awarded Greenwich Choral Society a $12,700 CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant.

GCS’ CT Humanities’ Grant will be used to assist in its search for a new Music Director to succeed Dr. Paul F. Mueller, who is retiring in 2023. In addition, the funds will assist in reaching out to new audiences and singers.

“The Greenwich Choral Society recognizes this CT Humanities Grant as a spring-board to help GCS inspire interest with new audiences, supporters and the extended community,” said GCS President Skip Parker. “ GCS values the recognition of our history as we approach our 2024 Centennial. Our mission: To share our love of choral music with music lovers in Connecticut and nearby Westchester County.”

The Greenwich Choral Society was one of 624 Connecticut organizations awarded CT Cultural Fund support totaling $16M from CT Humanities. These grants are designed to assist organizations as they recover from the pandemic and maintain and grow their ability to serve their community and the public.
