Dr. Xu founded “Africa Cries Out,” a nonprofit organization devoted to providing medical and humanitarian aid to the people of Senegal, in west Africa. The organization makes annual trips with as many as 40 volunteers as “medical missionaries,” delivering healthcare to the impoverished, and running a school that teaches basic skills such as carpentry, organic farming, sewing, baking, and gas cooking. ACO has two hospitals staffed by local physicians.

The Second Congregational Church of Greenwich offers it's first ever Good Friday Vacation Bible School at the Greenwich YMCA. 2cc VBS provided an opportunity for children and families to engage in fun and creative experiences rooted in God's love and to help all those who participated to dig deeper in their faith formation during a very sacred time in the Christian calendar.
