Claire Librandi

Claire Librandi, 97, of Fairfield, formerly of Cape Cod, MA and Cos Cob, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25.

Claire was the beloved wife of the late Frank Librandi. Claire was born in Dighton, MA on Nov. 3, 1924 to the late Joseph and Mary Barrett O’Connell.

After completing school, Claire worked at Greenwich Hospital, where she met Frank. After their retirement, Claire and Frank moved up to Cape Cod, where they lived until he passed away in 2000. Claire was an ardent follower of UCONN women’s’ basketball and the New England Patriots, with a special affection for Tom Brady. Her greatest joy came from spending time at the beach and being surrounded by her family.

Claire is the loving mother of Stephen (Susan) Librandi of Fairfield and Hank (Sharon) Librandi of Cos Cob. Her most beloved role was that of Nana, Nana Cape Cod, Super Nana and the Real Nana to her 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, March 31 at St. Pius X Church, Fairfield. Private Burial was held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
