Eugenio Pirri

Eugenio Pirri, of Greenwich, passed away on April 3 at age 75.

He was born in Rose, Cosenza, Italy on Oct. 22, 1946 to the late Angelo Pirri & Maria Docimo. Growing-up, he worked on farms operating a trebia (wheat machine). He served in the Italian Military, met his girlfriend from his hometown who moved to the U.S. He soon followed her and married the love of his life. Eugenio was the proprietor of Eugenio Pirri Landscaping, established in Chickahominy. Well known and respected by all that knew him. He was a member of the Figli Di Rose Italian Club and enjoyed playing cards and bocci with his family and friends. He loved to work with his hands. He enjoyed gardening, repairing motors, and fixing his machinery. Eugenio loved to be outdoors but above all else, his pride, joy and love was his family.

Eugenio leaves behind his devoted wife, Rosaria, cherished children, Eugenio Pirri Jr. (Lisa), Jessica Pirri and Gisella Sowin (Joseph) and 8 loving grandchildren: Cody, Tyler, Sienna, Aviana, Giuliana, Jackson, Gino, and Savanna. He is the dear brother of Francesco Pirri, Grazia Pirri, Lucia Pirri and the late, Lorenzo Pirri and Rosaria Pirri.

To honor Eugenio’s life, family and friends will gather on Wednesday, April 6, 3-8pm at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, Greenwich. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, 10am at St. Roch’s Church followed by entombment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich. For more information or to place an online condolence, coxeandgraziano.com
