On March 29, 2022, Greenwich Botanical Center will host a live event with Kent Russell, the Garden Guru. Kent is a nationally recognized celebrity gardener and will share unique ideas for designing spring containers by using an array of plants to create appealing potted gardens. Early spring perennials, colorful and unusual hardy bulbs, and cold tolerant annuals will be just a part of this demonstration. All plants will be available for purchase following the presentation.
“Participation in our program with Kent will enlighten and inspire gardeners of all levels,” said Lisa Beebe, GBC Director of Horticulture.
This event is in person, and will take place on Tuesday, March 29 at 10 am. Tickets are $45 for members and $50 for non-members.
Kent Russell is a specialist in perennials who designs container plantings for clients throughout the East Coast. New ideas and inspiration will be just one aspect of an engaging program as Kent shares stories of his most recent gardening adventures. Practically born with a silver trowel in his hand, Kent started his life in horticulture at his family’s nursery, Russell Gardens in Bucks County, PA. He served as “The Garden Guru” on PBS and is listed as a preferred speaker by The Garden Club of America. He is also a longtime friend and supporter of the GBC, as well as, a past board member.
