
Gladys Nunnenkamp Lockwood, 91, passed peacefully in her home in South Berwick, Maine on Feb. 10, surrounded by family. Gladys was born in the Bronx, NY.
She lived most of her life in Greenwich and Stamford, and eventually moved to Maine to be close to family. She was a 1949 graduate of Greenwich High School and long time employee of the Electrolux Company, Stamford.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Lockwood, and her sister, Alice Connolly. She leaves nephew Thomas Connolly of South Berwick, Maine, Eileen Connolly of Alfred, Maine, and Mary Gibson of Berlin, Vermont, as well as a large extended family and her well loved cat, Bowie.
Gladys will be remembered lovingly as a unique individual with the superpower of total acceptance. Gladys never displayed judgement, expectation, or disappointment. Memories of her subtle humor and kindness will be cherished.
