“The weekly presentation of the Retired Mens Association on February 9 featured author Basil Hero, an award-winning former investigative reporter with NBC News,whose book “The Mission of a Lifetime: Lessons From the Men Who Went to the Moon” is based on detailed interviews with nine of the twelve surviving astronauts who walked on or orbited the moon. Using details from his interviews, Hero illustrates ten historical management approaches that led to the success of the moon missions. Hero also discussed personal and ethical issues that related to the astronauts' experiences, as well as the effect of their experiences on their existential feelings and outlooks.
