The League of Women Voters of Greenwich (LWV Greenwich) will host the forum “Can Ranked Choice Voting Improve Elections in Connecticut?” on Tuesday, February 22, at 7:00 pm.
Ranked choice voting (RCV) has been gaining in popularity, with more than 50 different jurisdictions (states, counties and cities) expected to use it in their next election cycle. This important election reform is now being considered for Connecticut. Hear from a panel of experts who worked to implement RCV in NYC and Maine as well as in states and municipalities across the country.
How does ranked choice voting work? Will it deliver more representative election outcomes? Does it encourage less contentious campaigning? Is it too complicated? The public is invited to learn more about RCV and to have these questions and more answered.
