Connecticut recently voted to extend Gov. Ned Lamont’s executive order on masks until Feb. 28. Beginning March 1, masking policy will be left up to individual school districts.

So far two Board of Education members, including Chair Kathleen Stowe, have indicated they believe it is time to allow families to make their own decisions about masking their children at school. Some private schools in Greenwich have already given notice that they would be removing mask mandates following the expiration of the executive order on Feb. 28.

Members of the public are encouraged to send comments and opinions to the BOE at boardofedmembers@greenwich.k12.ct.us.
