As the Greenwich Tree Conservancy celebrates the 15th Anniversary of its founding, the Board of Directors announced the election of Urling Searle as its new President. Urling has served a variety of GTC leadership roles including as a Tree Party co-chair, Communications Committee chair, Program committee chair and Vice President. Among her community contributions, Urling has served on the Town of Greenwich Conservation Commission and currently serves on the First Selectman’s Sustainability Committee and the Board of the Greenwich Land Trust.

Founding board member and immediate past president Cheryl Dunson said “Urling’s fascination with and concern for the environment has led her to serve various roles at local nonprofits and in town government. Her experience and commitment to our community are the right combination to lead GTC’s successful public-private partnership to plant, preserve and protect our town’s trees. We are fortunate to have her as our new President with an outstanding Board of Directors by her side.”
