Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash on East Putnam Ave – Wendle Place

The Greenwich Police Department is continuing the investigation of the fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on East Putnam Avenue on September 25, 2021. 

The initial investigation has determined that a 2009 Honda Civic was traveling westbound on East Putnam Ave when it left the road in the area of Wendle Place and struck a wall. The 17-year-old operator was taken to an area hospital where he died of his injuries. The Greenwich Police will not be releasing the name of the juvenile at this time. 

The Greenwich Police Crash Reconstruction Team is still in the process of analyzing the evidence collected thus far, interviewing witnesses, and continues to search for more information that can assist in the reconstruction of and the events leading up to this collision.
