Adelle L. Hinds passed away Friday, Sept. 12 in Virginia, age 81. Born in August, 1940 in Barbados to Mary J. and Christopher Hinds – she had 10 siblings: Purcell; Clyde; Malvina; Vincent: Oswald; Darrel; Lewton; Keith; Edwin and Eloise. She emigrated to Cos Cob in 1968 and later Stamford (graduate of Rippowam HS); Hartford and Greenwich, working at Woolworth. She moved to VA in ’93 and became a CNA.
Predeceased by daughter, Stephanie (’63). Surviving are first daughter, Althea Hinds-Catlett (James); grandchildren: Janelle David (Kelawn) and Holly (and their Dad, Selwyn Henry) and great-grandchildren: Jamel, Nyema, Khari and Keema. Final resting in St. Lucy, Barbados.
