GPD 125 and Essential Workers Parade

The Greenwich Police Department in cooperation with The Greenwich Police Emerald Society and The Combined Organizations of Police will be celebrating The Department’s 125th Anniversary with a spectacular Parade and Bagpipe Celebration on Sunday September 19th, 100pm on Greenwich Avenue.

The parade which will celebrate not only The Police Department’s Birthday but the great efforts of all the essential workers that helped us through the covid pandemic.

Doctors, Nurses, police officers and bagpipe bands from the New York & Connecticut area will be in attendance. Police Motorcycles & Police Helicopters flying overhead will lead the parade from Town Hall, Field Point Rd. to lower Greenwich Ave and Havemeyer Field. At Havemeyer Field, the bands will play individually and the show will culminate in one mass band performance.

Ten Bagpipe bands from across the area are scheduled to perform.

This is expected to be one of the largest parade/celebrations in the history of The Town of Greenwich.
