Tropical storm Ida has left our area, but we are still feeling its effects. A pond on Dearfield Drive near the hospital overflowed sending a torrent of water under the roadway. Drivers should avoid Dearfield Drive between the main Greenwich library and the Lake Avenue traffic circle. The Greenwich Department of Public Works and the Greenwich Police Department as well as Connecticut Natural Gas are working to repair the damage as seen in the photos below. Photos were contributed by Kimberly Gibbs.
