Beth’s greatest joy in life were the relationships she built with people. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Beth was a graduate of The MacDuffie School, Bates College and Springfield College. She was a longtime resident of Greenwich, CT. She worked as a guidance counselor at Greenwich High School for 35 years where she touched and impacted the lives of many. Some of her happiest memories were those of her students and co-workers. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the movies with her friends or alone! Walking, jogging and bike riding were a regular part of her daily routine. She loved the outdoors and planting flowers that hummingbirds and bees could enjoy. She loved all animals, especially golden retrievers. She was a fierce competitor and thoroughly enjoyed beating her family in all sports and games, including her son Tom. He never was able to beat her in a game of ping-pong. Beth had a smile that would light up a room. Many have described her as a “bright light,” which is how she will be remembered by her family who loved her so much.
