Debra Sue Frangione, 66, died on Feb. 25, 2021 in her home. She had lived in Riverside for more than 25 years but was living in Stamford at the time of her death.
She was born in Cuero, Texas and moved to Greenwich while she was growing up. She taught Sunday school at St. Catherine’s Church in Riverside for 10 years and was a familiar figure in the cafeteria at Riverside School, where she worked and where she always greeted the children with a smile. She was never without a book to read and had a great collection of needlecraft materials to use in a pastime she very much enjoyed. Once her children were grown, she gravitated to being a caregiver as a profession, particularly enjoying being a long-term companion to an elderly woman.
She is survived by her children, John Matthew Frangione, III, and Heather Marie Frangione, her two grandchildren, Haley Rose Beettam and Conner Aiden Beettam, and her brother, Sam Weaver, who were all very important to her.
