Meet Christian Baldwin, 10th grader at the Greenwich Country Day School. He is an avid basketball fan and runs a popular Instagram sports media page.
“In today’s society false information is commonly spread throughout social media. Journalism, and for me, especially sports journalism is a way to receive and provide accurate information”
He is one of the first students to be inducted as a member of the Student Journalism Institute, from the Greenwich Sentinel Foundation. He will be joining a select group of students this spring, as one of our first sports reporters. “I think student athletes bring a lot of value to reporting because they may have an even bigger passion for a certain sport than normal” Three of his biggest role models include LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving.

The Greenwich Sentinel Community Foundation’s mission is to create a sense of community that fosters mutual respect, support, and understanding among Greenwich residents.
A strong community has residents that are supported, happier, more willing to serve others, and that produce leaders that will bring ideas with which they were raised beyond the borders of their own hometown.
Together, we will continue to lift up and bring together our community and each other, help Greenwich reach for unparalleled potential for good, and instill a sense of community and values in the world’s future leaders.
