The Parsonage Cottage Junior Advisory Board will host its 2nd Annual “Tee Party” at Parsonage Cottage Senior Residence on Sunday, June 13. Registration is now open at www.parsonagecottage.org. The event was a huge success in 2019 but unfortunately was not able to occur last June. The Junior Advisory Board will also be supported by an enthusiastic group of Greenwich Country Day School rising 8th graders.
The mini-golf tournament will be played on a custom course set-up on the beautiful grounds of Parsonage Cottage, 88 Parsonage Road, Greenwich. Check-in is at 11:00 am for 18 holes of miniature golf. There will be two rounds available: the first tee time at 11:30 and the second tee time at 12:15. Prizes will be awarded for Best Round, Best Team Attire, and Hole in One. The cost is $100 for a foursome with spirited team attire and team names recommended. Additional options include a Hole Sponsor for $300 and a Tee Party Event Sponsor at $1,000. Parsonage Cottage is also accepting monetary and prize donations.
Player registration includes lunch provided by Walter’s Hot Dog Truck and Gophers Ice Cream stand ice cream, soft drinks, and beer. Music will also be provided by DJ. In 2019, the then newly formed Junior Advisory Board threw a perfect party to kick-off the summer party, which was enjoyed by young and old alike on Parsonage’s beautiful grounds. The event raised funds and awareness of the critical services provided to the elderly at Parsonage Cottage. Over 130 Greenwich residents and 27 corporate and family sponsors gathered for two hours of fun. Golfing foursomes with names “The Silver Foxes,” “The Hot Flashes,” and “The Fighting Chickens” competed fiercely for the locally sourced prizes.
“We are really looking forward to being outside again and welcoming supporters to play mini-golf. The residents truly enjoy watching the grounds abuzz with excitement and young people,” said Executive Director Penny Lore. “We are so grateful to our Junior Advisory Board and their commitment to supporting Parsonage Cottage and our efforts to provide a full spectrum of enriching services and activities to the residents.”
