Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol’s Boot Drive Fundraiser 2021

unnamed-31

Today, CCFPP is pleased to announce our 2021 fundraising Boot Drive…come join us Saturdays, April 3 and 17 and May 1st and 15th between 9am and 4pm at the intersections of East Putnam Avenue and Sinawoy Road and also the Intersection of Indian Field Road and Sound Shore Drive.

Covid-19 has had significant financial impact on the Patrol. Before the pandemic, the Patrol held an annual fundraiser in which an average of over $40,000 in private donations were raised. These donations also secured funding for larger capital expenditures such as modernizing our communication equipment and upgrading personal protective equipment, and training for members in addition to maintaining and upkeep of both Utility 2 (fully owned by CCFPP) and Patrol 2 (town-owned). Funds raised allow CCFPP to continue to protect and serve the community to the fullest.

The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc. (CCFPP/The Patrol) is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting the residents of the Town of Greenwich since 1927. The Patrol provides a broad spectrum of services to residents and first responders including firefighting, salvage operations, traffic, and scene control at emergencies. CCFPP operates under the structure of the Greenwich Fire Department with almost 30 active volunteer service members, of which over two-thirds are interior firefighters. Our members respond to an average of 1,000 calls a year. As a not-for-profit organization, CCFPP relies heavily on private donations in order to cover our annual operating budget.

The Mission of The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc. is to protect commercial and residential dwellings from fire, smoke, and water damage during and after a fire, to direct traffic, provide scene control and other support roles as requested by the Greenwich Fire Department or the Greenwich Police Department at any type of incident. The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
