With a focus on improving food security in Greenwich, the Junior League of Greenwich held its Spring it On – Sunday Supper on March 7, 2021. The drive-thru style supper raised over $7,000 to support food insecurity initiatives at the Junior League of Greenwich, including meals for teens and a community garden at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich

“We are extremely grateful to our community and League members who supported our Spring it On – Sunday Supper,“ said Clarena McBeth, President of the Junior League of Greenwich. “It was a wonderful event in collaboration with several local businesses to benefit food security efforts in Greenwich. Food security has become a challenge for many this past year, and we are delighted the proceeds from this Sunday Supper will benefit The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich’s after-school teen programs and community garden.”

Taking place during Women’s History Month and just one day prior to International Women’s Day, this event also supported two women-led local businesses – Simply Delicious, a mother-daughter catering team that specializes in local, fresh, seasonally inspired food, and Paper Greats, a female-founded paper goods company. 100% of sales of Paper Greats’ sustainable tablescape bundles will go towards supporting food insecurity initiatives at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich. Rounding out people’s order was a bottle of wine from Greenwich’s Cap, Cork & Cellar.
