The LWV Greenwich together with the YWCA Greenwich and the Greenwich Association of Realtors will host a panel discussion about zoning reforms being proposed by DesegregateCT in Hartford this legislative session and how they will affect Greenwich. Some of these proposals are part of a bill now before the CT legislature for its consideration.

 

Sara Bronin, Founder and Lead Organizer of DesegregateCT, will focus on proposals to increase affordable housing options in Greenwich and across the state.

 

Melissa Kaplan-Macey, Connecticut Director of the Regional Plan Association, will briefly discuss the current housing situation in Fairfield County.

 

Greenwich planning officials, Margarita Alban and Katie DeLuca, will talk about their proactive and ongoing efforts to address housing inclusivity in our town.

 

The panel discussion will be followed by Q & A. Attendees may submit questions when registering for the event.

 

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan, non-profit organization. While the Greenwich League is on record in support of inclusive housing in Greenwich, this event is being presented purely for informational purposes under the auspices of our 501(c)(3) educational fund. The League has taken no position on the legislative proposals that will be discussed.
