Infants and toddlers observe the mouths of adults when learning to speak. However, young children who are enrolled in early childhood programs are around masked adults all day long. During the pandemic, parents should focus all the more on face-to-face talk time with their child during unmasked time.

When a priest starts attending choir practices for children and youth at church, she is surprised at how it enriches her own daily spiritual practice and other benefits. Through learning a simple hymn, she remembers how sometimes our faith feels closest when it is sung from the heart.

We are now in the time of year where colleges are sending out acceptance letters. While the work may seem complete when a student experiences the joy of being accepted to their schools of choice, for many students, the hardest part is still to come. Difficult decisions must be made by students and their families that will last years, if not a lifetime. The toughest part in the next few weeks and months ahead.
