Chief Heavey joined members of the Greenwich Emergency Medical Service today to get their COVID-19 shot. The Greenwich Police Department is currently sending officers for their vaccine shot. The protocols we have implemented for our response to medical and police calls for service during the COVID-19 pandemic has helped keep our ranks healthy. Wearing masks and social distancing has helped reduce the officer’s chance of being exposed to the virus. Now the vaccine will help keep the officers healthy and on the road to continue serving the community.
