A Maryland man accused of forgery and identity theft was arrested Saturday following an incident in Greenwich, according to police.
Officers responded to a Greenwich Avenue business around 1 p.m. after receiving a report of a “possible fraudulent attempt to purchase merchandise.”
Officers located the vehicle and stopped it on Arch Street.
The man in question was subsequently arrested and charged with second-degree identity theft, second-degree forgery, criminal impersonation, second-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit second-degree forgery, conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, conspiracy to commit second-degree identity theft and criminal attempt at second-degree larceny.
