The Greenwich Police Department and Riverside Service are teaming up this holiday season to prevent drunk driving.

Al Jagodzinski, owner of Riverside Service, is offering all Greenwich residents a free safe ride home for themselves and their car.

Beginning Nov. 15 through Jan. 2, you can contact the GPD at the non-emergency number of 203-622-8004 and arrangements will be made for you and your vehicle.

“If one Greenwich resident uses the free service, it’s a success,” said GPD Chief, James Heavey, in a written statement Thursday.

In 2018, the GPD arrested 93 motorists for driving while under the influence.
