Greenwich Girl Scouts will run cookie sale booths at school polling stations including Central Middle, Glenville Elementary, North Mianus Elementary, North Street Elementary and Old Greenwich Elementary schools. The November 5 sale is a limited early release of the famous Girl Scout Cookies which are normally only available during the March cookie season. The Girl Scouts will also be taking donations for Cookies for Heroes, which sends cookies to active duty service members and veterans stateside and overseas.
Cookie sales help support Greenwich Girl Scouts community service projects and educational programming. Participating Girl Scouts also benefit by observing the election process while learning valuable financial and sales skills.
“We love getting our Girl Scouts out and about on Election Day to learn about our nation’s political process and practice the five skills of the Girl Scout Cookie Program: goal setting, decision making, people skills, money management, and business ethics.” Frances Wu Nobay, Greenwich Girl Scouts Co-Service Unit Manager (Volunteer).
