The International School at Dundee (ISD) Parent Teacher Association (PTA) will host its 3rd annual Greenwich Color Challenge fun run and obstacle course on Saturday, Oct. 5, starting at 9 a.m. with rolling start times to accommodate various schedules.
This community-wide event will be held rain or shine, and is open to the public with all proceeds benefitting PTA-sponsored curriculum enhancements. Registration is available at GreenwichColorChallenge.com through Oct. 4 for $40 and every participant will receive a race day shirt, bag and sunglasses. All Greenwich schools have a discount code that may be found in their respective newsletters.
This year includes a new course and additional obstacles, all designed to encourage some good, clean “dirty” fun. The 1.5-mile course starts and ends at the ISD fields and takes participants through 10-plus obstacles and six color stations – where kids and adults get “dusted” with safe, non-toxic, washable powder. (Those who prefer to skip the color can simply run around the stations). Everyone is encouraged to wear their silliest attire (think: tutus, wacky socks, rainbow wigs). After wading in foam, bouncing through a ball pit and more, runners reach the finish line, where there’s more excitement with a variety of games, prizes and food. All participants will receive a ribbon.
