I’ve been a Greenwich resident for 15 years, and I’ve known Fred for nearly 10 years. I bought my home on Orchard Street in Cos Cob which is just a couple of homes away from where Fred was raised. Most of my neighbors are the same neighbors that have lived here for 45+ years ago when Fred was a child. It’s through them that I’ve learned more about Fred and his family’s past which helped me understand why he is the person that he is today.
While I think we all “know” Fred from all of his community service activities in town, few know the personal side and about his childhood. Similar to the rest of us, Fred’s childhood had a tremendous impact on the man and the community leader that he has become. I think its important for our community to know that he deeply cares about our community and giving back because his family has similar challenges.
