Join the Greenwich Moms Demand Action group for a discussion on how parents and adults can “Be SMART” and prevent child gun deaths and injuries, on Thursday, May 30 at 7 p.m. at Cos Cob Library, 5 Sinawoy Rd. They will be joined by Jay Martel, child proofing expert, who will discuss other tips for keeping curious kids safe in our homes. The event is free.

Each year in the U.S. nearly 300 children aged 17 and under gain access to a firearm and unintentionally shoot themselves or someone else. Nearly 600 more die by suicide with a gun each year.
