Audubon to Hold Pollinator Planting Workshop

weed-whack-and-pollinator-planting

Join Audubon Greenwich for a fun and education afternoon learning how to manage invasive weeds then helping to restore native habitats with pollinator plants, on Saturday, June 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. Audubon Greenwich Land Steward, Andy Chapin will show what invasive weeds look like and how to remove them then he will highlight native replacements that are healthier for our birds and environment and other wildlife. Audubon Greenwich and Greenwich Grown have been working together collecting native plant seeds through Audubon Greenwich properties and propagating them throughout the year so that these seeds have grown into viable plants that will be used at this Greenwich Grown event.

Bring your hat, long sleeves/pants, gloves, comfortable shoes, water bottle and sunglasses, then Audubon will provide all other necessary tools for the workshop.

To RSVP contact Kim Gregory at 203-918‑5254 or staglanefarm@yahoo.com
