Mary Ann Balkite White, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many passed away peacefully on Feb. 11, 2019. Mary Ann’s will in the face of an unwinnable battle with cancer mirrored her life of perseverance despite the situation. Mary Ann was born in Greenwich, CT on Sept. 8, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents Alexander Joseph Balkite and Margaret Mary Duff Balkite and her infant son Joseph Stephen White. She is survived by her beloved husband Bruce J. White; her loving children Thomas A White (Alison) of Wesley Chapel, Fla., and Robert A. White of Milford, CT; her brothers Richard J. Balkite (Susan) and Peter R. Balkite (Claire); and her cherished grandchildren Bruce, Matthew, Emily, and Michael. Mary Ann is also survived by three nieces and five nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m., at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HPH Hospice, 6801 Rowan Rd., Newport Richey, FL 34653 or a charity of your choice.
