Letter: Note to Peter Tesei
To the Editor,
Dear Peter – Many thanks and kudos for your many years of service to the Town of Greenwich and to the Republican Party! You have always gone beyond the call of duty of a First Selectman and managed to maintain a good relationship with the BET, BOE, and RTM. It has not been an easy task to balance the diverse demands of your constituents with Republican values of maintaining fiscal restraint.
Some of us will never forget the first time you ran a passionate campaign at age 18 to be a State Representative, being an active member of YGOP, and later maturing into the longest serving First Selectman in the Town of Greenwich. Bravo!
Also you deserve recognition for your many contributions to other Republican campaigns during the past 30 years. It has been a pleasure for so many to work with you!
As you wrap up your leadership of our town, we hope you’re able to continue to maintain fiscal restraint in your final budget. Our town has a been a beacon within the state – still affordable and attractive to new and young residents.
We wonder what the future holds for you – and for the town – and wish you and your family the best in the years ahead. We look forward to hearing what you get involved in next. Thank you for the blessing you have been to our Town of Greenwich!
